Marketing Plans Defined

Bowler TRAC executes marketing plans for leagues, events, and other products and services.

Marketing plans are executed using telephone calls, letters and brochures, and e-mail.

Activities related to designing marketing plans such as market research are not featured in Bowler TRAC.

Purpose of Marketing Plans

Marketing plans are used to target market to people in Bowler TRAC.

Adding a Marketing Plan

General

Item Offered is a required field.

The League and Event radio buttons are used to select leagues or events.  The binoculars buttons are used to select from the options.

The Other option button in the Item offered field is used for items like birthday parties and coupon offers.

Cost is informational and is the amount of money that a targeted person will pay for the league, event, product, or service.

Included benefits is informational and lists what the targeted person will receive.

Plan start date is the first day that the marketing plan is in effect.  As an example, this is the first day telephone tasks will be created or the first day a letter will be created.

Plan end date is the last day that the marketing plan is in effect and is most closely associated with the telephone option.  After this date the telephone tasks will expire.

Target Group

A target group defines the people to be contacted and generates a task to contact each person.

People may be contacted by telephone, letters, brochures, or e-mail.

The Refresh All Target Groups button is only used when new data has been brought into Bowler TRAC.  The new data can be brought into Bowler TRAC without having to change the target group.

The Priority field is used to determine the order in which groups are targeted.  As an example, a user may wish to contact league bowlers from last year before any other target group is contacted.

The Up and Down arrows are used to change the priority of target groups.

Progress Summary

The progress of a marketing plan is updated by pressing the Refresh button.
